Dragons Abreast Mackay members have always had a
good relationship with our sisters from our closest breast
cancer team, Dragons Abreast Townsville (almost 400 km
away) so it was only natural that we would join forces to
make up a full team for Florence. The attached photo is of
members from both teams celebrating DA Mackay’s 12th
birthday. We will also be joined in Florence by one paddler
from Cairns and three from Victoria.
We are all so excited to be attending the 2018 IBCPC Participatory
Dragon Boat Festival and meeting so many like-minded women from all over
the world. Thank you IBCPC for all your work and dedication in organising
this once in a lifetime experience.
