On the water since 1997, Pink Phoenix members hail
from Oregon & SW Washington. Fifty two of their members
are participating on two crew in the festival. Pink Phoenix’s
mission is to empower breast cancer survivors through the
sport of dragon boating, demonstrating that there is quality
of life after breast cancer treatment. The team balances
their competitive spirit with core values which welcome
all breast cancer survivors with respect and regard to life
balance. In addition to competing in six to eight races a
season the Pinks host an exhibition race which includes
non-paddling survivors during Portland’s Rose Festival and
features Taiwan-style boats.
