The Steel Magnolias of Dragon Boat Atlanta are a group
of breast cancer survivors whose goal is to increase
awareness of breast cancer while promoting an active
lifestyle, both during and after treatment. The team was
formed in 2004, and participated in the 10 Years Abreast
Celebration in Vancouver, BC in 2005. Since then, the
team has sent paddlers to the International Breast
Cancer Survivor events in Caloundra, Peterborough, and
Sarasota, as well as many local
and regional Dragon Boat Races.
