Pink Champagne Breast Cancer Survivors’ Dragon Boat Team
was established in 2008 by a group of medical specialists and
fitness instructors to enable individuals who had completed
treatment for Breast Cancer to maintain fitness, help prevent
lymphoedema, provide a support network and celebrate their lives.
Based in the South of England we paddle each Saturday from our
Centre in Christchurch, Dorset. Our team enjoys taking part in
events organised by the British Dragon Boat Association, and
international events, such as Hong Kong, Venice, France and
of course Florence, where we are looking forward to renewing
acquaintances with other Breast Cancer teams we have met
over the years. Some may remember us in Sarasota where
the Best Costume award went to Pink Champagne who were
appropriately dressed as bottles of Bubbly!
